Foil Delete question.

ok, i did the foil delete a couple days ago, however i noticed what seems to be a little bit of oil evenly around the pipe right up against the top IC boot. so my question is: does oil flow through the IC pipe,? (i know it's mainly air, but perhaps a small amount of oil) or is it just the small amount of oil leaking from my HPOP that's getting thrown up there by air ? i checked the clamps they seem to by tight enough, and on the pipe. i am able to feel the pipe tip under the boot, and is far enough in to prevent any problems. ( least i hope). so what yall think.

There are a few places that you get oil in the intake from. Most of it comes from the Crank Case Vent and some of it can coe from the turbo if the seals start to go bad. I guess you just have a small bit which would be the CCV.

Yup, your CCV is putting the oil mist in there and over time, it will pool up. That's exactly why people do the CCV mod.

If you just did the foil delete I'm guessing you had cleaned the tube before you put it back on. If so I wouldnt think you would already be seeing oil unless your boots are leaking or you have excessive blowby. Just to be safe though I would check the turbo and a blowby check. Guys if I'm out of line just let me know.
