Hey all I am new here and just wondering if any other F250 owners have a subs in thier truck i would like to put them uner back seat but doesnt look like there is enough room for them....thanks for any input on this subject....
I am in the process of finding the same thing. There are a couple of company's that make boxes that fit under the back seat but stick out and look tacky and don't look like they are of very good quality. I am currently in the process of finding out if Kicker offers a box to fix under the seat accomodating one of their square 8" subs. If your not too farmiliar with Kicker squares, don't underestimate the 8" square. It has a power handling of nearly 600 watts rms and will easily out punch a round 10". Not to mention it gets even better if you put it in a ported box. If you want any more info on what I find out you can email me at yzsean125(No Email Addresses In Posts!).
Well seein as i am 20 years old i may be the only one on here that is on there third complete system about to do the fourth one.....by that i mean Head unit, door speakers and subs, I have yet to do it cause i build my own boxes as my center armrest but there is a company out there that makes lift blocks for the back seat of our trucks.....ford trucks are known to be low in the back seat.....this company makes a lift kit basically for it.....that would give you ample room to fit a box under the rear seat......hope this helps.....
I know they sell seat "lifts" for the back seats so you can get boxes or an encloser under them.
I run 2 - 10" Jl's behind my regular cab seat, makes for a good massage.
If you can build a box I was able to squeeze two of the kicker square 15's behund the seats of my crew cab. I had to move my back seats about 3 inches foward but the results were fantastic .also if you have the center floor mounted storage box JL audio sells a box that fits inside.
I installed the L5's, but it was a squeeze. I had to remove the rubber cover for the magnet and ended up building another box. the first one was about 3/4" to big . I powered each one with its own orion xtr 2150 and with the two coils bridged them for a 2 ohlm load. wooof. Almost to much. The problem is now I bought a Lariat LE (bucket seats front and rear) and have to make a new box .
I moved my front seat forward about three inches and had a buddy build a custom box and put my 2 12" JBL's behind the seat. But, I am in the process of buying bucket seats to put in the back so I can install my 2 12" Diamond M6 sub, then I am installing my Diamond components in the front, to hook up to my MP3 player in the dash. Then, I will install my TV, VCR, and 6 disc changer.
I was able to ahve a local shop build me a box that fits behind the rear seat in my 2000 CC that hold four Premeir 10" subs. I had to take the carpeted pad off the back wall in order to make th box fit, but the sound is great. A couple of punch amps under the seat and the bass just keeps flowing.
Anybody here have the floor pods from Qforms? I put some in my f350 and my e brake now cant go all the way down. I have the dynaudio 380 3 way system 1" tweet 3" mid in the pods and 8" midbase in doors and was forced into the floor pod system. Any other ideas on mounting a 3 way system . without cutting the doors.
Wow thanks for all the input...I have been meanong to go by the local car audio shops and ask if they know what works just havent had the time.... might not even need to now with all the info you all gave me thanks hope fully if it all works out i will be have 3 audiobahn 10alumQ's hitting in my SuperDuty just not sure what to get to power them but i will find something...thanks again for all the input...
I fabricated a 4" rear seat lift for my 2002 SD SC which allows me to place to 10" DEI Comp X subs in a ported box powered by a 1000 watt amp. The only thing that i had to do was relocate the jack which was in the way for the ported box. I have one pic of the lift which I can email it to any one interested.
