Hey Guys, I got a really bad banged up rear drivers crew cab door right now and it's got no power options in it (manual). I want to replace it with a new door but my new door has power options. I was told I can drill out some rivets from the my power door and just swap out some stuff to make my power door manual. I would rather keep all 4 doors the same (manual) so any help on switching power door to manual would really help. The doors are driver's side rear crew cab door off of a 2002 f350 5.4 gas, 2wd, crew cab. thanks
You will have to take the parts out of one and transfer to the other. Once you get the doors apart you will see how everything is held together (rivets, bolts, etc). Just unbolt everything from one and put it in the other. The only part you will use off the new door is the actual sheet metal (you could probably keep the speaker, door handle, and window tracks if you wanted). If this is not enough info for you to get the project done I would suggest taking it to a body shop or someone who knows what they are doing.
Thanks, I looked at it today and it seems that there are 4 bolts that need to be undone. I will tackle this project this weekend and hopefully paint the door as well. Thanks again.
So I manged to swap the inside's of each door and make a fully functional manual crank door out of my power door. If you ever decide to change a power door to manual crank you will need to undo 8 bolts in total and completely remove the tracks and swap them for the manual door tracks and crank. It looked easy at first but became a real thinker but in the end I now have 4 doors that match.
