I've soaked it in penetrating oil, darn near busted the press (c-clamp type with hole on the bottom), whacked it with the hand sledge and a close fitting impact socket, heated it and whacked it. I don't think it has budged a micrometer.

I am at the in-laws with only the tools I carry. After all the beating,heating,oiling,pressing, it finally just fell out when I went to go beat on it again. I did however go through the old man's garage and under all the stuff piled on the work bench, there is a vice, which I had my eye on. I was also contemplating a wrapping a come-along around a couple of metal plates with the bottle jack in the middle.
