Driver's Window jumping track !
Hey all, I'm back after a year or so off. Got a low mileage, heavy duty rebuilt tranny installed and got my '90 EB back on the road just about a week and a half ago. Today I swapped out my rust red unpainted dented up JC Whitney door for a slightly less dented OEM door ( albeit the red EB not the blue but it's a step up... ). Something is up with my window. I had to swap out windows, and when my window is up, it's tight and square in the frame. When I put it down, it slides out of the lower track in the front and then falls out of the back track. I don't know if the arm is bent and forcing it out of the track or what, and I don't see any way adjust it. I swapped out my glass because the window in the door had no track on the bottom, and I was worried about damaging my only other piece of glass trying to get the track off it. So far as I know, the glass that was in my JCW door was oem, so it shouldn't be a problem...yet here I am. Is it possible the arm is bent and pulling the window off track ??

Did you lube every moving part in there well? use graphite grease, petroleum based ones degrades faster. I think it's the rail itself that's failing, maybe it's a little bent in the lower part and when the window goes down it isn't tight enough to hold it railed. My mechanism, arm and all is a little missaligned, and it keeps working very well, that's why i tell you to check the rail.

It was, in fact, a bent track. Rather I should say it lacked a bend. At some point the track must have been hammereed on because it had virtually no arc. I swapped it out with my old one and it all runs smoothly now !
