Guys, been running some issues with my truck for a while, 2000 v-10 4x4 373 gears.... averaged 12-12.5 mpg up to last few months.... after y pipe and fm-70 muffler i have been getting 9.5 (+ -) did tune up last week , i think i had a boot split on one cop (#5), broke off on top of plug....with stock tune i got 12.5 that tank.... i had some issues loading new tunes on my x 3 tuner, got them straight so i loaded the 87 perf tune on my truck yesterday and today im down to a half a tank and only been 100 miles since fill up....true the truck seems to have a little more pep, but at a 30-40 percent drop in fuel mileage.....DAMN.... i also have the 87 economy and 87 tow haul. what are yall getting with your tunes? may have to dump the perf tune.....thanks guys
Is this hand calc or by the lie o meter? I heard the lie o meter can be way off after a tune. I'm just on my second tank after my tunes, so it is still to early to tell.
If I do a bit of highway driving I can get over 150 miles out of half a tank pretty easy with the 87 Perf tune. Maybe you got a batch of fuel with extra ethanol in it or have a mechanical issue. I would run a few tanks through the truck with the 87 perf tune and allow the truck to learn the new tune and see what happens.
true, i've got a bit of rough running at low rpms could be a cop dropping out...will give it a couple of tanks and see how it goes...at best i get 310 -315 out of a tankfull of chevron 87. keep away from ethanol if at all possible. thanks guys
I average 12-14 with a mix of driving with the air conditioner on with the 87 performance tune and running 93.. I have seen as high as 18mpg with this setup on the Highway.. I installed the 93 performance tune earlier to see how it affects my truck and mileage..
My truck is a 99 v10 auto super cab f250 with 97,000 miles and a recent tune up..
I changed the only 4 original cops i had with new ones...truck styill has a slight "chug" or miss at low rpm's. begining to think it may be crank sensor....any boby had issues with them, or what are the symptoms? thanks
