transmissionconvertor lock up
I put a stock rebuilt convertor in the truck F 350 1999 7.3 . It is running hot and the convertor is supper tight , It will be in drive with foot on brake and it will lunge like you have let out on a clutch or the convertor locks up it will kill the motor somtimes . The question is what lock s the convertor and what was the seal for on the input shaft . I am somewhat good with transmission just not fords. I use this truck to pull my inclosed car trailer, never give any problems untile a few weeks ago it got hot and i put a scan tool on it and it had like 100 to as high as 600 rpm slippage with the convertor comand in lock up with solinoid at 100% shold have been no slippage . I purchased a stock convertor that was a reman put it in saturday and pulled the trailer the highest i could get it was like 10 to 15 rpm slip. But i took the trailer off and it lunges and trys to choke down . Could it be anything other than the convertor? help please its a mother to pull the trans without any help... Ideas welcome.....
