BBK headers for my '86
BBK makes Shorty headers that are supposed to fit '79-'93 Mustangs with 351w engines. However, I think these are 5.0 engines. Is that right? ANYHOW, will these headers fit my '86 351w HO? it's in an '86 F250 4x2 with C6 tranny.
Also, since many of the guys here know lots about the 4.9L I6, will it bolt into a '92 mustang that originally had the 2.3L 4 banger? Will the trannny have to be changed?

BBK headers for my '86
I have a set of the BBK 5.0 351w swap headers you are speaking of. They are installed on my van. If I could figure out how to get a picture on here, i would show you how it fits. I, however, have them on an 1985 E-150, and it required a bit of work to get an exhaust system on it(noone will touch it here without convertors). I ended up using parts of a 2 1/2 mustang H pipe, 2 Hedman 2 1/2 'S' bend header hookups, some straight sections, and an X pipe section at the end of all of that......I had some clearance issues with the passenger side of the doghouse, the #2 tube had to be dimpled for clearance, and both headers were Wrapped with header wrap for heat retention. I will try to get a picture in my sig........

There is not much room under there for a 300 in the 79-93's, although it sounds like a good idea( and something different). The 300 is a pretty tall and long engine, and there is not much room in there longitudinally.
