keyless entry door code

Hey guys i could use more help. Bismic sent me the spead sheets for the 6.0 power stroke. I used the info he sent me to try to find the code for the keyless entry pad on my door but i have had no luck. I pulled the fuse panel, the cd player, and the trash bag holder. I moved all the foam and wires and looked on the RAP module and still nothing. It is a 2004. Can anyone give me any other ideas. I was reading some of the posts and there was mention of a list of codes would this be something that could help me and does anybody still have them if so. Thanks for any help.

Have you check with your local dealership? I think they can get you the code based on the VIN number.

On my 2004, it was way up against the underside of the dash behind the radio. It was a sticker on a black (I think) box with a lot of numbers on it, but there were 5 numbers larger than the rest. Those 5 numbers were the code.

I believe I ended up taking the radio out, and then taking the dash surrounding the radio off.

Did YOU buy the truck new? Just asking in case the original owner installed an aftermarket stick-on keypad.......

Here are the instructions

I found a mirror and a flashlight made it easier to read. It's there, just getting to it...

no i bought the truck used but it still has the fctory cd player in it. When i pulled the radio out there was really nothing back and i tried moving that white foam around. I guess i will have to try taking more of the dash out and get in there a little more. I looked on every black box i could find and there were not any stickes. There were stickers on a few of the wires but they were longer than five digits. I will just keep looking maybe i will find the code.

I couldn't see it without the mirror and flash light. It's way up there. Get a mirror (automative with the extension) stick it up there and shine the flash light on the mirror. you will be almost standing on your head. I have a 2004 F250 and it was there.... found mine without removing anything.good luck

I had mine done a few months ago. Did not charge me a dime. Try another dealership.

Even if you are successful in locating the sticker there is a good chance the p.o. changed it but not sure if the stock code will still work after changing it or not? Maybe find another dealer or ask them to pull it when you take it in for an oil change or something else minor?

That's what I did. I couldn't find mine either. I took the stereo out and dug all around the insulation.

Even if the code was changed the factory code is still in effect.. So both will work...

They come with there own master number. After using the master number you program your own. The master number will never be overwritten or erased.
