A few bugs...
It's been a while since my last post. I've been gone working on a log home in Tennessee.
Anyone ever heard of Maynardville, TN before?
Yeah... I never knew it existed either.
Anyways..
A few bugs with the truck..
- - My truck won't start at the key. I have to jump it at the solenoid.
- - My front right brake keeps locking up. My suggestion is changing the brake caliper.
- - I have brake lights, turn signals, but when I turn my lights on at night, my back lights don't come on.
So, minor problems. Well, the last one is pretty important. So is the second, but I can fix that.
Can someone give me advice?
Brakes........I too would replace the caliper.....although I would pull it first to see if there was anything visually wrong first.
you NOT hear the solenoid click? Probably not is my guess (although you normally wouldn't
hear it as the starter motor noise overpowers that). When in START, the radio & other
accessories should shut off.
Tail lights not working - check the bulbs. All the running lights on all 4 corners use the same
circuit, a single, brown wire. This lighting is independent of stop & turn lights. As already
mentioned, grounds are a possibility, too.
Probably need a new or rebuilt caliper, remove it and see if you can squeeze the piston
back into the cylinder using ChannelLocks or other, large pliers.
Ever heard of Toad Suck, AR?
