OD button not working unless in park
Weird issue I just came across. I usually don't bother turning O/D off since with my tow tunes I really haven't had the need to, but the other day I realized that now I CANNOT turn it off (or at least the light on the switch doesn't illuminate, and it doesn't appear off otherwise) unless I am in park. I turned it off today as a test, and once put in drive, I cannot turn it back on. Is this sign of some forboding mechanical problem, or just a weird anomaly? In my tow tunes, it will kick down if RPM's drop too low and re-engage. I have about 82K on this tranny (ford's supposed 4R100HD). I wish my work schedule and vacation plans would've allowed me to have the truck down long enough for BTS to ship me one out three years ago. Any thoughts?

Pull your steering column and check the wiring at the top there. With the tilt wheel, it pulls on the wires and that is a known break point. I added a couple of inches to mine after I found the break. No probs since.
