About 3000 miles ago I replaced my stock front tires (235/85/16) with bigger duratracs (265/75/16). Now I have started to notice a noise and vibration coming from the front when the wheel is turned close to full lock. The truck will turn but it bucks the wheel as if it wants to straighten out. I have checked and there is plenty of clearance. Is this just normal for bigger tires or is there something else? thanks for your help
Sounds like a vacuum line is disconnected and you're in 4WD...Contrary to popular belief, there is a small amount of vacuum applied to keep it out of 4WD if the hubs are in auto...Vacuum unlocks them, and when the vacuum is killed (or a hose is disconnected) they engage.

This is technically inaccurate.
A full vacuum pulse (8.75 in/Hg or more) for about 50 seconds is used to lock the hubs. A lesser vacuum pulse (5.9-7.1 in/Hg) for about 15 seconds is used to unlock the hubs.
Except during the locking and unlocking pulse, no vacuum is applied to the hubs at all.
