flywheel question
I have a question about flywheels. I have a 71 f100 4x4 I am taking the 360 fe engine out and putting in a 429ci. I was told that I could use my 360 flywheel for this application.I was also told I could use 351m/400m flywheel. I am confused.Can anyone tell me if the 360 flywheel will work and if so what other stuff will I have to use to make it work? I am looking for a used cheap 429/460 flywheel for 72' right now but if I can use the 360 flywheel then I will stop my search.Thanks to all.

You can use your 360 flywheel with the 429/460. The bolt pattern is the same, also it is a neutral balanced wheel.
The only wheel you can not use is a "428" FE flyhweel becuase the motor is externally balanced and the flywheel is part of it.
As for 351M/400, not really sure. Never looked at one to know the difference.
