2004 superduty trans cooler
I found a guy selling a transmission cooler for $85 says it is new. Are these the same as the 6.0 diesel and is that a decent price? I need to replace my 96 to get the transmission temps down. Thanks.

IF it's the 6.0 cooler is a good price, if its the V10 cooler its not such a great price. If its neither of those two then you don't want it.

Good to know that different ones were made for different engines. Will try to find out. Thank you.

It is for a 05 6.0L new never used. $105 shipped to me sound ok? Is it comparable to a trucool?

Here you can see the diff. between the V10 (similar to Tru-Cool) and the 6.0 (the biggest), and I think its price is very good deal. IMHO

Holy crap that is a huge difference. The trucool is really only about the size of the v10? The 6.0l does seem huge. I guess it is a good deal.

The TruCool and the V10 cooler are the same minus mounting brackets. $105 shipped is a pretty fair deal, I'd go for it.

I just sent him the money so hopefully get end of the week. It was actually $115 but still seems like a decent deal.

Dealer said it was around $450 retail. Hopefully it will keep transmission temp only 60f above ambient instead of 100f above.

Here is a pict of it, it has never been used but some fins are bent from being moved around in the persons shop for awhile.
It is huge compared to the original. Anyone have an install thread handy?

Or do what I did, go to a junk yard and get a big a/c condensor, flush it with atf and do the first step of a brake line flare on the aluminum line coming out of the core.
