You guys have been so good at answering other questions that I thought I'd throw one at you that has been racking my brain for months.
My '65 truck has a 1970 351C (4vHeads) which probably came out of a mustang. FMX Transmission, PS, PB short box, custom cab.
My question is this. Where the heck can I get some headers for this conversion. surely this is not the only '65 that has had a 351C put under the hood. I'm not worried about the exhaust beyond that (as long as it clears everything) I can have a guy redo my exhaust the way I want it after I pi$$ my neighborhood off. (just kidding, no, really.) I want headers for two reasons. 1. Performance (obvious)
2. Current exhaust manifolds are rough looking (although they're in great shape) and I plan to pull them off and blast them anyway so why not replace them. Any help would be appreciated.
Welcome James! I would call the header manufacturer. These folks tend to be small companies and are usually willing to work with their Customers. Headers are available for this combination. I also believe shorty headers for this engine will work in your truck. The debate over headers has been long and furious so I guess the Guys are tired of it and that’s why they haven’t jumped on this thread. Whatever you decide, consider your neighbors.
