pedistal question...

if i put a van turbo on can i leave the stock pedistal there and just let the rod operate nothing? i dont want to spend the cash on a new padistal right now.

You could gut the pedestal and not worry about it.

It's nothig to gut. Just a pair of snapring pliers and a 1/4" tap and plug. Very simple don't even have to drill out the shaft hole.

i just watched that video.....that looks super easy. can i weld plugs in? its aluminum right?

I'm sure you could. I work at a welding shop. We weld on molded aluminum like that all the time but it has to be done with heliarc to make sure you have 100% seal.The mig doesnt seem to burn on that type off alum. as well.
