Low Oil?

Low Oil?
well if you guys have read my other threads then you know what is goin on. my truck keeps shuttin down when i hit the brakes and misses when it is facin down hill or hitting bumps. i checked my oil and it is bout 2-4 quarts low. could that cause these symptoms?

thats what im gonna do cause my dad said before that he had a problem with it shuttin down on him going around right turns but would start right back up and ford said it was low. figured save me a big bill from the stealership anyways. but i wanted your opinions cause i never knew that low oil may cause a real rough idle and occasional shut down

Ya, I broke my brass oil pressure line and the motor quit running, it was low on oil. I was told the computer will shut it down if it see's less then 6psi pressure. A great feature to protect our motors!

Mine will miss sometimes if the oil is a little low. So I would think if it was to low and your hpop was a little weak there may not be enough pressure to run the injectors. You may even wanna try changing the oil.

The injectors are driven by the high pressure oil pump. If you are low on oil and getting some air in the pump you may miss and die from that.
Get oil in there right away! You may be causing damage to your high pressure pump.

if my truck gets 1-2 quarts low it starts running rough im sure 4 quarts could cause it to shut down
