I have been looking around at some ewp's and i havent found one that is made directly for our trucks. will the 86-93 mustang 5.0 ewp's hook right up or is the serpentine system different enough that it wont fit right? and also i have seen two different kinds. one setup is a drive motor with a belt going to the water pump on its own system separate from the rest of the serpentine system. and the other replaces the stock pump completely with the motor built into the pump and a new belt is required to avoid the pump all together. of the two which would be better?
i am assuming that the ewp that completely replaces the old one is better
i havent personally seen the seals go bad and no i dont have one on my truck but a lot of the people running late model and super lates had them on their cars and they worked for them
but those were all race cars.. i havent had the extra money to upgrade my alternator to run one....
the 75 amp alt i have doesnt really like the e-fans i have that much lol so im waiting to up grade that to a larger one when i get every thing i need figured out
i figured i would need to upgrade the alternator, especially because i am going to convert to an e-fan as well what amp do you suggest a 100, 130, or 200?
and you say they all ran the ewp's on race cars does that mean that they do not work well for an engine with a modest amount of HP
