new alternator
Has anyone put in the 250 amp alternator from DB Electrical in their EX yet?
DB Electrical - Ford Excursion High Output 250 Amp Alternator 5.4L 6.8L 00 01 7764
I run Offroad lights (4 x 130watts) and High end stereo equipment, so I know I need a more powerful alternator. Would I need to beef up all my electrical connections or just go with the 200 amp alternator?
I'm thinking about adding more speakers and another amplifier. The amp I looked at recommends an alternator with no less than 140 amps. But I also have my other amps and lights.....ect..
Should I go overboard just incase or would overboard be too much?
