Hey guys
Ive come to depend on you guys for the simplist questions but I seem to get the answers so here goes another one
I have an 87 Bronco full size 4x4 with manual locking hubs I also have a set of auto matic locking hubs in my garage from the same year I would like to put the auto hubs on in place of the manual will these hubs bolt up with no problem or is there something else I would need to make them work
Yeah the auto hubs are weaker, less reliable, and a pain. One thing I love about manual hubs is that when you are in a tight space and don't have the 10 ft to engage the auto hubs, you got your 4wd on hand with the manual hubs.
well now that i know they will fit exactly i will be able to sell them to someone else who hasnt been informed quite emphatically as i have thanks guys i would gladly give up the convenience for reliability any day
wasnt 87-88 the years ford had the bright idea to use those crappy manual hubs that bolt on behind the wheel???? if so i could understand why he wants to get rid of them.
oh well, good excuse to slap a sterling/60 under there
