possible to add 3rd row?
i'm going to be getting a very clean low mile '98 4x4 xlt here soon the only option i really wanted on it which it did not have was the 3rd row seat.
so my question is, is it possible to add the factory 3rd row to a truck that did not come optioned with it from the factory?
any help/insight would be great!

It's possible but considering you have to cut out and replace the rear floor pan, it's really not worth the aggravation and expense. A better alternative is getting the setup from here: Expedition Third Row Seat, Expedition Suv Accessories, Expedition Fifth Row Seat, Expedition Seventh Row Seat, Expedition Custom Car Seats

There are lots of people that sell or trade their trucks and forget to reinstall the third seat and then there's a truck out there that's missing the third row seat eventually the seat is for sale or free on C/L. I think you should wait and see if the truck is set up for the third row seat and if it is just keep an eye on C/L. One will show up in time.

i know its not optioned with it. i drove this truck for about a week last year and the rear floor pan does not have the hooks for the seat.
i figured my easiest option would be aftermarket....
