390 compression?

390 compression?
Did a compression check on a 67 390 out of a car. Ok I know 90 is not good, But the best was 180? That seems high. But I guess that don't matter. It needs rebuilt. Plugs looked real good??? Strange? So what do I need to pay close attention to when building a 352-390 motor? Do crank numbers really tell me what I have? I heard rumors they like to eat cams? Motor has a rebuilders heat tag on it. Never fell off. Hopefully thats a good sign. But how far can it be bored? And how hard to find "good" oversized pistons? I probely will have more questions. But thats it for now. Thanks!
