wondering if anyones ever installed a double din into there SD.....on ebay, i can only find 05 and up install kits....would they fit in an 03?

 

They fit, but you have to mount them differently that the stock stereo. I installed a Pioneer DVD/Nav unit in mine. I had to fabricate a bracket to mount the stereo to the inner dash frame, then had to trip the lip off the top and bottom of the dash opening to make it slightly taller to fit the stereo. Looks good when finished. Look around down in the Audio forum and you can probably find pics of it done.

 

I've got a Pioneer AVIC-D3 in my dash. Definitely had to trim the lips off.

I trimmed the top and bottom lips off mine and it fit a standard double din perfectly. I have a kenwood dnx5120 (i think thats what it is)
