F250 2004 Super Duty V8

I just bought a used F250 2004 Super Duty V8, XL, it was used as a work truck, but I got a good deal on it and it was in good condition.

It has 150,000 miles on it, but it runs really good... Anyways, my friends are constructing their own bio-diesel reactor, the whole setup, meanwhile I want to start looking into what it takes to run bio-diesel in it ?

Can I run B5 right away without any modifications ? do I need to replace some parts to go higher ? what is recommended ?

Who has done this already ? B50, B100 (summer time only ?)

Can it cause any problems ? things to watch out for ?

Thanks, really excited, I traded my Chevy S10 for this truck, mainly so that I can pull a horse trailer with two horses in it, never going back to gas trucks ever again.

Biodiesel can be run in any diesel vehicle. It's just an alternative form of diesel fuel, made from refined, used cooking oil, rather than refined ancient dino pooh oil. Making the biodiesel will be a somewhat challenging process, but if your friends are doing the hard part for you, it sounds like you just need to fill 'er up and run.

WVO is a different aminal. Direct from the hippies who blog about it, please read more here: Driving Change - Biodiesel & Vegetable Oil

dfk: how do I find that out, if it is a 6.0 or what ? I don't see any labels anywhere ?

All, I know, its a very big truck, with big engine :- ) with 2 batteries for cranking power.

Never owned a diesel truck before, but always wanted to, was driving my S10 Chevy year: 2000 on the road, the smoke started to come out, out of no where, oil leaking, and the engine went bad, like a piston broke, all went to hell really quick at only 113K, I was like, WTF just happened!

Screw Chevy, I hate that stuff, what garbage. On my **** list I have already Chrysler and Chevy (never will own anything as long as I live from those 2!)
