Tranny doesn't pull at all
Wife was driving the Ex whne it just died doing about 15mph. Pulled over and had trouble getting it started. After a couple tries it cranked up, but the tranny seems to be not there at all.
When you shift from park to reverse, the idle goes up just enough to notice, but even rev'd to 2500 rpm it does not move at all. same thing for the rest of the gears. Had it towed home.
Did a serach for a while with no luck finding something similar. Will have my AE back tonight to read codes, but was looking for some idea of what to look for.
There is a new "squeak' coming from the front of the motor that started today. Somewhere around the belt. bad idler pulley or clutch maybe?

No codes found. I think the tranny is toast. Dropped the pan and found black stinky fluid and a little sludge in the corners. The filter is beyond needing repalced. Put maybe 10K on it since I got it. I remember seeing a receipt where the tranny was serviced and should not be due yet. by the looks of it, the receipt went to another truck, this one wasn't done in years.
