Below is a photo of my rear diff. I've had the pinion seals replaced last year. When the seals went, I got fluid all over the bottom of the truck and the differential.
I have what looks like another leak. The fluid comes out just enough to get the rear diff damp looking. When the fluid started to form a drop, it appeared to be honey colored. It does not have a drip like it used to but it still appears "moist". The dealer says "nothings wrong".
I checked the rear diff fluid and it was dirty black but full. I also blew into the vent tube and there is no obstruction. Is there a sealed bearing or something at the rear diff?? I know nothing about these things!!
