First Post
I've read this forum for a long time. I finally joined today. I've been a Ford man all my life. Recently, I purchased a 1986 F250 XL 460 auto. It has 68,000 original miles and it being a Colorado truck, has no rust anywhere. It also has original paint, although it's a bit faded in places. I've installed an LMC seat cover and padded dash skin. I've also done a brake job on it. The reason I bought it is to keep the mileage down on my 2002 F350 Powerstroke. So, I'm using this truck as a daily driver. It runs perfect. Not bad for $2500.
2nd, i hope you guys put up some pictures of your mugs in our mug shot thread we have. Also we have a thread to post a picture of our trucks!
Again nice to meet chyall.
posts.
My truck is a Colorado native, too (still has the dealer sticker on the back of it) but it has
PLENTY of rust. But, it's an old farm truck, apparently having been stored outdoors.
lol.
Whoops,Hijack.
I agree with Chris!

Welcome to the forum, we love to see some pictures of your truck.
I'd like to see a picture of that dash skin. I've been thinking about getting one and I'd really like to see one in action before I pull the trigger.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I forgot to mention (in my original post) that my truck is a heavy duty 250 4x4.
The dash skin is an easy install. I bought it in black and painted it saddle tan with the vinyl paint they sell. The kit comes with a tube of silicone, which you apply around the front and rear edges and around the defrost vent holes. I jammed rags in at the front where the windshield meets the dash and taped the inside down. I let it dry in the sun for about 4 hours. It turned out perfect.
The LMC seat cover turned out nice too. Except (on the 86 seat) there is no place to attach a hog ring (included) because there is no coil spring structure like the older seats had. It was a wire on and screw on job. It looks good though.

supporters can do) and having your post include a picture that is hosted somewhere on the
'net. The way FTE does it, a picture "hosted somewhere" CAN INCLUDE albums &
galleries of members which are already hosted by FTE. But, being photobucket or
imageshack or fte, those are all the same - you include the relevant BB code that points to
the location of the picture file. Directly attaching pictures means attaching a picture that is
on *your* PC and isn't hosted by any Web servers on the 'net.
Clear as mud, eh?

I don't think there are any post-count restrictions for including pictures that are hosted
elsewhere, I believe every new member can do that. There is a forum on FTE specifically
for picture help, it's near the bottom of the list.
