So I have an 04 F250 with a rough country leveling kit and 2 extra rear leaf springs..
Im trying to do some little things to make it stand out so I dont get bored of it...
I really want to do the frame rails, leaf springs, axles, and other exposed parts with some type of undercoating BUT I dont know what works best... Im thinking somehting that it brush on so I dont get overspray everywhere..
I just had to repair rust problem on my 05, we removed the bed and I scraped the rust away sanded everything down and brushed Por-15 on. Truck looks great now. Hopefully it will last alot longer tahn how it was from factory. Freakin salt...

flat black in a can. undercoating or things like rino liner dont help you. all that stuff will do is hold in more heat. thats not what you are after.
I'm assuming since you're from NY there is some rust on your truck? If so then I'd advise you to grind it off and clean it off real good, then I believe they make a prep for it that you use to clean off what you're goin to paint. Are you removing your bed? I have personally never used this prep...
im not planning on removing the bed but if I absolutley have to I could...
My truck is black on black and it has black wheels so it dont look very pretty with rusty frame / leaf springs..
is POR15 good to use? I have an entire kit with all the prep stuff and all that so it wouldnt cost me anything.. I was told POR15 traps and holds heat so I didnt want to do it and regret it for some reason.
any input from someone who has done it? Im excited to do this. I want to keep the truck forever and this is something I only want to do ONCE
I also plan to paint the calipers while I have the wheels and tires off the truck to make it stand out a little more.
