Floor shifter that locks into gears

With an auto trans, is there an aftermarket floor mount shifter that locks into each gear, preventing you from down shifting two gears when only wanting one?

Any ratchet style shifter does exactly that. I know of a few for a C4, but you'll have to research a bit for the C6. Hurst, B&M, Art Carr are a few.

You're probably right, lol. Have a heart would ya. It's just I don't like to rev the truck over 9k, and if I jump gears, she hits 11-13k, and that usually brings the front end off the pavement. Although I have separate brake pedals for right and left to steer with because it happens so often, still I find my eighty-year-old mom struggles with turning, and insurance companies tend to frown on that sort of thing.

But seriously, the column shifter is getting sloppy and difficult find the gears. I know, I know, 'rebuild time.'
