Under the hood p by the cowl there are 3 places to connect vacuum lines to for various diagnostics. In my truck the 2 longer connectors have caps over them, but the shortest does not. Does anyone know if this is supposed to be uncovered or not?
Did the f100's have those vacuum trees, or just f150's? Mine doesn't have one, and I see no evidence that it ever did (81). It may have not needed it since it doesn't have a brake booster, and its a 300.
Yep thats your vaccum tree. If you have one thats just sitting there open then hurry up and get a cap on er! Your truck will appreciate it and you will too lol.

While everything listed above is spot on, I do have to ask this. 2 of 3 are capped and 1 is open. If you mean capped in the way I think of capped, that means using a cap to block an open port. If so, that means there's no vacuum at this tree, so no need to worry about the open port.
