I just bought a 7.3 Powerstroke F350. It is a 1999 Lariat custom model with 170K miles.I bought it because it was well equipped. It has a 16K WARN winch with custom WARN front mount/bumper. KD cold air inlet, 5" exhaust, custom tool box with 55 gal fuel tank, new wheels and tires and a 5th wheel mount and a custom heavy duty BD transmission with life time warranty.
Has any one heard of BD transmissions? I looked at it and it has a really deep oil pan and and external filter. It also says BD Power on the side. I don't have any idea what kind of torque converter it came with. There wasn't any paperwork with it either.
BD is the transmission rebuild that most of the folks on the 7.3 forum would want if you need a rebuild. The builder's name is Brian and his transmissions are supposed to be close to bullet proof. If I needed a rebuild on my transmission that is where I would go.
You should be in great shape with that transmission.
Thanks again. The BD box is a major reason I bought this rig. I wanted a strong 350 and knew the auto was weak. I will figure out the pic thing and get some posted.
