Front Axle ID Help needed

Hey all. I just picked up an '88 F250 Standard cab, long bed, 5.8 and C6 tranny. It needs ball joints and apparently they used two different axles light duty and heavy duty. My door jamb sticker says 6400 GVW so I'm guessing its the light duty and the front axle is D44 based but how do I know for sure its not the D50.

Look at the hubs if they're small like those on an F150 you have the D44HD, if they're bigger then you have the D50.

Any idea what the Outside Diameter is? Finding a 150 that old around here to compare to is pretty tough.
