donor questions

I posted months ago and got some very good info on donor trucks for rear end as well as power and front disk brakes. I have a 1966 F250- 2wd. It sounds like a 68-72 would be ideal all around. Will I have to take the whole front off of the donor and place it on my truck or can I bolt up the components I need to my stock spindles? I just had the front end reworked a few months ago and would hate to have thrown that money away.

No, you do not have to use the whole front end from the donor....but, you need to change the spindles from (your) truck to the ones that are from the donor truck, and even up into the mid 70's will work.

as far as the rear end.... anything up to 72 will bolt in with no mods
after that will work but you need to move the leaf spring plates on the rear end

Thanks for the input. I may have a line on a 1970 donor.
