I was on the other day. There was a ccv catch that was made out of pvc and had a tomatoe can cut and painted that protected it from water. The guy mounted it behind his gas tank on the shield. Problem is, I cant seem to find it again. Please help.
Thank you- I see you did the mod and then went back. Can I ask why.
I never had a catch can on mine, just vented to atmosphere. I got tired of the oil on my frame rail and the constant smoke from the line so I built the catch can with the plan of running it through the can and back to the intake. When I went to install the can I got lazy (it was 95* plus outside) so I just turned the doghouse back around and hooked it back to the stock location.
I like to pull my intercooler and radiator every few years to clean all the bugs out of the fins so I just figured I'll soak the inside of the intercooler at that time with some degreaser and keep it clean that way. It's really a personal preference thing.
Thats what was guessed by clintbonnie. I could see where that would bother me too. BD diesel makes what looks like would be a great filter, but they are really proud of it considering the price. I'll fab something up to get it back into the intake minus the oil. thanks for the info.
