Harmonic Balancer
I am having a terrible time finding a balancer for my truck. I have an 83 F150 with a 351 in it. I am quite sure its not the original motor and have no idea what/when it came from. The harmonic balancer recently went bad.
The harmonic balancer looks like this Damper Doctor Online: FORD 302/351 C.I.
It has a 4 point star that has something to do with the ignition.
The company above is the only I have seen with the 4 point star option however I am not sure which one I should go with, they have 3, and the casting number on mine doesn't match up with the correct options.
I could really use some help on what this type of balancer this is(searching for it never produces any results other than the site above and I dont know how to explain it when calling junk yards), maybe what car/year it might have come out of(so I can check with parts stores), and maybe where I could find one.

Contact Numberdummy with the casting number off your original Harmonic Balancer pully, and he could tell you the Ford Part Number.
If you have the Ford casting numbers of the other parts that are online, he could cross reference them for you and see if they are compatible with each other.
Just because the casting numbers don't match, does not mean it won't work. The casting numbers can change just from Ford using a different process to make the part.
A part can have 15 different casting numbers, but only one part number as example. It's the actuall part number that has to be the same, with what you have now. Ford also updates part numbers that are compatible with older part numbers.
