Front Speaker Replacement

Hey Guys, the stereo system that comes with the Lariat Ultimate package is ok. The interface on the actual head unit is really good. My main complaint is that the speakers sound pretty muddy. Does anyone have some suggestions on how I can improve the quality of the sound without going to nuts. I was hoping to just replace the speakers with something with higher quality. I have seen some pictures of projects on this site where guys used the clean sweep product and installed an aftermarket amplififer / sub. This may be in my cards in the future however I was hoping to try just speakers first and see how it turns out. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I put crossfires in mine, they sound really good. Only problem you will have is the rear speakers have a crossover for the in door tweeters. Ignorant design but you will have to replace the tweeters in the rear doors if you replace the rear speakers.

Pull the door panel off and take a look at one of those speakers. It weights about 1/3rd of a oz. and it doesnt have a magnet. Its 100% plastic. Dont ask how it works maybe its some kinda magnetic plastic they have just developed.
