Canoe rack for the EX
Any slick ideas out there for an inexpensive and safe way to mount a canoe to the top of my 2001 EX? The factory hugger will not work, hoping someone has found a way to shim up / remount the factory crossbars with enough stability to not cause my canoe to become a missle, or...

Yeah, put on six Yakima bars like I did with gunwale brackets and straps and never worry again.

hey man, did you ever figure out a way to put your canoe up? I just did mine yesterday out of 2x4's. Built a rack that rests on the bumper and bolts to the two outer ball mount holes. Two angle brackets hold it to the tail gate on the inside for fore and back support. easy to put on, and easy to take off. oh the front of canoe sets on two styrafoam blocks on the cab. I will post pix soon.
