caliper slide pin needs grease?

The slide pins are in both top and bottom. They hold the caliper in position and let it float on the caliper mount(sorry no official name). I just did one rear brake this afternoon, chances are if it needs grease it needs to come apart and be cleaned. I had to get one pin out with the blue tip, just too much fun for a Monday.

Be sure to use the proper lube as well, normal grease is not for this job. You want something like this

Hear's some info on the pins on removal. Ford sells a high temp teflon as well. Do a search on them as well for more info.

caliper guide pins
both the top and bottom guide pins should move in and out with some effort. if they do not than you will need to maybe heat the caliper ancor plates where the pins are to remove them. ford does sell them in sets 1 set comes with 2 pins which will do 1 side. also keep in mind that there is a top and bottom pin and they are different from one another.
