Issues after cleaning TB
I cleaned the throttle body today, got it all back together, and started it up. I suspected a slow start, as usual, and took it for a drive. It's not shifting down like it used to, it's waiting until I'm nearly completely stopped before shifting down. Also, when I crank it, it idles crazy high, 2000 range, then rough shaky idle, then smooths out. I cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner as well, all hoses connected back just like they should be.

You can delete this if you want, or leave it up for those ******* moments. All hoses were connected, the plug for the MAF under the air intake however...was not. I was searching, tugging for tightness, listening, all over the dang place, then saw that plug dangling underneath the air intake...put my hand over the hole...instant success. So, slid the plug in there, good to go.

D MAN I was seriously upset, afraid I had screwed something up. I've been loving this truck and the eye turning abilities it has. Luckily it was a slight overlook on my part, and all is back to normal.

That MAF wiring plug is a doozy - I had it loose one time, just enough to let a LITTLE air through, and thought my headers were leaking like crazy. Turns out it was running JUST LEAN enough to make the mixture keep burning on the exhaust stroke, causing a huge TICKING in the exhaust sound. Crazy stuff.
