Question Were 55s Equiped with Fan Shrouds?

Although my 223 is running 165-170, it does not have a fan shroud. Were 55 F100s equiped with them? If so, are they pretty easy to find? Thanks.

Yes, you could get a fan shroud for a 55 with a 223 6. I have not seen one for a great while.

Note ND's application list, no F100 was equipped with a fan shroud. If all the air seals are in place, one should not be needed or desirable.

I will have to go along with your signature "if aint broke...don't fix it ! " . Those temp. don't sound bad and it looks like fan shrouds never came on F-100s , just the bigger ones.

Thanks for the info guys. I wasn't looking on adding one rather I was just curious if it ever was equipped. I'm very pleased with the op temperature considersing how hot it is outside.

I have a shroud in my 55 panel. I found one years ago and put it in when I rebuilt the 223 and installed a new radiator. Mine also runs around 165-170 so apparently the shroud doesn't matter much. Steve is your 55 painted Aquatone Blue? Mine was originally that color and I had it repainted. Very nice.
