I searched but couldn't find anything that would give me the part number. I can't get to the dealer when they are open, so I was hoping that someone might know the part number. The trim was loose when we bought it and finally came off the rest of the way recently. Thanks for any help.
Not sure which ones you're referring to. You could try going to Lowe's in their hardware section where the drawers are for loose packaged bolts and what nots. One of the drawers is automotive fasteners and clips. You may find what you need. Good luck.
They are the big clips that hold the plastic panel to the barn door. There are about 10 I think. They are barbed with a larger button that goes into the panel. Went to Lowe's when I had to repair the front end after the deer jaywalked. They didn't have them.
Also try the chain auto parts store. There's this brand called Help! That may have these clips. They specialize in hard to find, sometimes obsolete parts.
reviving an old thread but I am need of some of these. any ideas?
I just bought some. I'm pretty sure mine had already been replaced, because the closest I could find to what I had are supposedly radiator apron retainers for a GM.
What I got was Auveco panel retainers 12137 (1619321 from Fastenal where I got them). They came 25 to a box. I did have to trim the tops, and they were a snug fit to push into the plastic trim, but so far they are holding OK.
HELP section in just about any chain auto parts store. They have multiple sizes, reccomend bringing one with you to size up. I ended up buying self tappers and screw caps in tan. Kinda looks like buttons hold the panels on. Much more secure. Screw caps are like washers that go on the screw first then a cap snaps over it. Lowes only had black, white and brown, I found perfectly matched tan online.

I like the idea of that. I need something much more secure because I have a sub mounted in the door and when I shut it the panel pops off the door. I want to screw it but want it to look right.
The plastic isnt strong enough to hold to sub in place. I'm going to redo all of the wiring and amp/speaker locations so i will probably go that route.
pictures please.
I can't figure out how to remove the barn door interior trim, and rather than just pull until I break something… could somebody post a picture of the clips and how the panel is attached.. please..
