Excessive play in steering

My 91 F150 has play in steering.
All parts are new, front end is new
power steering fluids are right up.

Can I take the slack out by adjusting the sector shaft adjusting screw?

yep just do it in small increments to get it right. Too much adjustment with wear the box out pretty quick.

What three says. Also check the steering shaft slip joint (under the hood near the firewall) and the rag joint on the steering shaft right at the steering gear box for play.

Also make sure the pitman arm is tight on the steering gear box shaft, doesn't take much, an almost undetectable amount of movement there makes for wandering truck.
