My truck (2005 f-350 powerstroke 6.0) slowly lost the cranking power to start. Over the last four days till this morning it wouldn't crank over, just click, click, click.
It is almost as though something is staying on and killing the power. When I turned the key this morning and waited for the glow plug light to go out, I could hear the power drain while the glow plugs were humming.
The 1st thing you need to do is charge both batteries seperately and then load test them individually. You could have a bad cell in one battery and it will drag the other one down to its level. If bad, replace both batteries with a matched pair. You also need to load test the alternator. Don't delay or you may take out the ficm.
