I HAVE A 94 F150 AND CANT SEEM TO FIND MANY AFTERMARKET HOOD SUCH AS BIG COWL INDUCTION RAM AIR OR ANYTHING. ALL I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND HAS BEEN A 2INCH COWL THAT WAS STEEL AND LIKE $500. I WOULD PREFER FIBERGLASS TO REDUCE SOME WEGHT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS
I've found a website. They're fiberglass 3in cowl hoods, and a GT500 hood, thing is youre still looking at more than $600. I don't think you'll find anything like that for cheap.
i dont think the weight savings is that much if its a quality built hood.....once you factor in the reinforcements and thicker materials....i doubt the weight saved would be anything to write home about.....
well, unless your running it down a track, then every ounce counts.....
i would love to design a scoop that i could graft onto my factory steel hood....and have a ram air or cowl induction set up with it....
