AFTERMARKET HOOD?????

I HAVE A 94 F150 AND CANT SEEM TO FIND MANY AFTERMARKET HOOD SUCH AS BIG COWL INDUCTION RAM AIR OR ANYTHING. ALL I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND HAS BEEN A 2INCH COWL THAT WAS STEEL AND LIKE $500. I WOULD PREFER FIBERGLASS TO REDUCE SOME WEGHT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS

The only ones I've been able to find are the ones LMC sells, which unfortunately is the one your trying to avoid.

I've found a website. They're fiberglass 3in cowl hoods, and a GT500 hood, thing is youre still looking at more than $600. I don't think you'll find anything like that for cheap.

Hoods are expensive. That's all I have to say on the subject.

Very true, and with the balance of Steel or Fiberglass, steel is normally the cheapest route.

i dont think the weight savings is that much if its a quality built hood.....once you factor in the reinforcements and thicker materials....i doubt the weight saved would be anything to write home about.....

well, unless your running it down a track, then every ounce counts.....

i would love to design a scoop that i could graft onto my factory steel hood....and have a ram air or cowl induction set up with it....
