Powerstroke block interchange??
i have a 96 F350 7.3 Powerstroke 2wd 5spd. im looking at buying a good replacement block from a 2000 model 7.3 Powerstroke. I know the externals will be diff (intercooled vs. non-intercooled), but will the long blocks interchange? thanks you guys!!

I believe the 2000 should be a forged rod motor also.
VIN will determine for sure.
The 2000 will not have the hole or the cam for the manual OBS style fuel pump. You will have to go electric fuel with the 2000.

X2 on the fuel pump. Can you get the turob, intake manifolds, and intercooler also? Now would be a good time to upgrade. If you get the SD turbo, spend the extra money and get some bellowed up pipes so you don't have to worry about boost leaks there.
