if you have a 2wd truck, just go get the front end of a 4x4 and put it in. it bolts rite up. there are several people on here that have done it. is that what you were asking?
will that just raise my front end because i was actually looking to make my truck four wheel drive ive heard of people doin it but havent seen much about how to do it
if your startin with nothin....well...do you intend on wheelin this thing at all, or do you just want the convienence of 4wd? if i were you i would do a SAS
Its really not all that difficult to do, the front axle swap could be done in one weekend and the trans the next weekend. The only time consuming part for me was having the rear drive shaft made. I couldn't find one to match and the original shop i went to messed it up. It took me almost 2 weeks to get worked out.
Make sure you go through the seals, u-joints, bearing, brakes, ball joints and bushings in the new axle to make sure its ready to go. You dont wanna put it together then tear it apart the next weekend to replace parts.
I love having 4x4 and it get used at least once a week, so it was worth it for me. Let me know if you have any questions.
