Anyone going to heatwave next weekend? I will most likely be there. Obviously i will not be entering, just going to check it out. post up if your going. maybe we can meet up.
yeah it's supposed to be a really big car show. Everyone tells me it's huge. I have never been to a car show before so i figured this one would be a good one to go check out.
don't got too long to decide. It's next weekend!!! I finalized getting out of work today for next weekend so i will definitely be there. just gotta work this weekend to get out of next weekend. lol
I tried going one year and admission was $40 per person. Lots of cars with 20+ inch wheels. Not my cup of tea , so I didn't go in. Maybe I missed out but I'm spoiled from living close to the Carlislie Car Show Fairgrounds for ten years. I've always wanted to go to the Rat Rod car show.
I think that is the car show my wife's friend goes to. He does car audio... He goes every year to try to beat his record or something.. Sounds like a cool show but probably not worth 40 bucks
if it's a low rider show i will turn around and roal coal outta there, but a guy on another forum from Truck Toyz Performance takes some trucks down every year(lifted on huge tires, but doesn't off road kinda deal). he said he usually sets up by the monster trucks so perhaps it has all kinds of different stuff. like i said, i have never been so i don't know for sure. I would like to go to a muscle car show. I really love old muscle cars(camaros, GTOs, mustangs, chargers, etc.).
on edit: just looked at the website. you can get in for $25(for one day) via the website. might be worth going... who knows.
I think it's got a mix of everything but the show is mostly geared toward the younger crowd that are more into show than go. If I could get in for $10-20 than I would go because it's so close to me and it's only one of two big car shows in the Austin area.
You know what would be bad AZZ is to start an ALL TEXAS FORD TRUCK NATIONAL, maybe hold it around Dallas/Austin or even Houston. I wonder if they even have something like that now?
no they don't. wonder what it would take to get it started??? wonder what it would take to rent the expo center in Austin for one day or a weekend???? probably really expensive, but there is bound to be a way to get it done. Take charge on that one Robert!! LoL

$25 sounds a little more reasonable. There's also a swap meet in Gidding's aug 27-29. They've been promoting it like crazy for the last month around here and on craigslist.

Ya know I think I am really going to start looking into it.
