door locks

can anyone explain why my truck only has a key on the passenger door and none on the drivers side? i would swear that both doors are original to the truck and not that one had been replaced.. kind of strange to me....

All the trucks were like that. I've always heard it was so that you would enter the truck from the sidewalk side, and not the street side, theory being it was safer. I guess safety trumped convenience then.

Yeah.. Safety was reason. Besides all bench seats, narrow cabs. You could almost step up on the rb and plant your butt behind the wheel !
