351 Windsor overheating after a few minutes of running. Replaced the water pump, fan and fan clutch, thermostat, radiator, and fluid. Still overheats after only a few minutes. Any ideas???
Are you sure that it has the correct rotation fan?
Serpentine belt equipped engines had opposite fan rotation to regular v-belt equipped. If it is wrong, the fan is fighting the airflow when traveling, so no cooling.
Both the fan, & your forward motion, should be bringing air BACK through the radiator.
The fan clutches also are made in both clockwise & anti-clockwise rotation versions, so need to match the fan & engine.
It appears to have been air in the engine. I bled it once, but apparently not enough. Did a thorough bleed and it seems to be resolved. Now, on to automatic transmission issues...making a weird noise like something is rubbing. Can't find anything externally, so I am afraid it is internal....hate transmissions! Thanks for asking though!
