4X4 Oil pans
Looking for an oil pan to put a 351C into a '73 Bronco. I know the pans for the 351M/400 4X4 will work, but are harder to find. Is the Econoline pan of similar years (77-79) off of a 351M/400 the same? I thought I read somewhere that it was a similar rear sump pan. If so, the boneyards around here are full of that application.

Don't know. My 77 F-150 4x4 has a front sump pan. My front Dana 44 has long ago clearanced my front sump pan. The pan has a huge dent as does my oil pick up screen. The pan doesn't leak, so I dont plan on changing any thing. At first I thought the engine was swaped in, but all the numbers match. So why would Ford put a front sump in a 4x4 truck? Well I can't answer your question but atleast you have something to read. Good luck on your search.
